I was the Assistant Art Director at Artworks, a small design shop in Boston that designed B2C quarterly magazines for Fidelity Investments and MFS. In this position, I was responsible for cover design, implementing interior layout and pagination, working directly with freelance illustrators and photographers, handling original artwork, negotiation use and fees for illustration and photographs and production, including checking proofs.
CIO Magazine contracted the studio to produce all of their conference materials including postcards, promotional multi-page booklets, conference booklets and other print pieces. I was responsible for creating the interiors and cover layouts for the materials. The client provided all of the photographs and text.
