BUILD IT GARAGE-PEROT MUSEUM OF NATURE & SCIENCE

The Build it Garage is a hands-on exhibit at the Perot Museum of Nature & Science in Dallas for the summer of 2014. I created all of the graphics for the exhibit, including the logo and all of the illustrations. Four activity areas offer visitors an opportunity to design, build, test, create and explore problem-solving. They can design and create a race car then test it on a long track, design and refine paper airplanes and cardboard rockets then launch them across a room, contribute to a color-changing LED mural and try new skills and processes in the "Big Idea Project Zone". The biggest challenge in this project was using the space as a temporary area with minimum changes to the walls and structures. Using a variety of materials, such as large vinyl adhesive cutouts, ceiling hung banners and light blocking window graphics, my designs were cost efficient as well as bright and colorful. Each area is marked by a set of illustrations that are combined in the logo and project area.
