Jen Pattison is a concept artist, illustrator and 2D games artist with a first class honours degree in Animation from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, where she won Best Portfolio awards from Outplay Entertainment, and KCA.
Her artwork is produced almost exclusively in Photoshop CC, although regular observational sketching and life drawings are done in graphite pencil, and some digital sketching in Manga Studio 5.
She has provided promotional artwork for Wadjet Eye Games, Infamous Quests, Senscape, and Robb Sherwin, and created concept and 2D game assets on Havenrise, Quest for Infamy, Steam Marines 2, Order of the Thorne: The King's Challenge, Order of the Thorne: Fortress of Fire, Serena, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, and Rhoem to Ruin.
Jen also produces bespoke illustration, portraiture and concept/character design on commission, and works in comics colouring.
Currently residing in Dundee, Scotland and working remotely with clients all over the world, including Disney Maker Studios, Komixx, and Twitch.
Best Portfolio Award Winner (2013)
Awarded best portfolio by Graham Galvin, Art Director of Outplay Entertainment, a local games developer in Dundee, at the opening night of my Animation degree show, May 17th 2013.
KCA Portfolio Award Winner (2012)
Awarded First Place out of 400 people for a portfolio of work featuring character design, background art for 2D animation, animation production bible, concept art, game art and life drawing/observational sketching. The work was exhibited in DJCAD and the award presented by Creative Director of KCA, Kevin Li on October 23rd 2012.
