My name is Erik Heidt and I am an Industrial Designer with a strong passion for design, product development, inventing and entrepreneurship. I have a compelling set of industrial design skills coupled with innovative conceptual development. I believe that I have the ability to communicate through form, and the expertise to carry inspiration through the development process to reality. As an Industrial Designer, I believe that ‘form follows function’ and as such, in all my designs I strive to strike a sound balance such that my designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally perform better.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Industrial Design from Savannah College of Art & Design with a 3.5 GPA along with a minor in green sustainable material technology. I also hold a degree in Building Construction Management which sometimes augments product design with conceptualization, product structure and components. As an Industrial Designer & Innovator, I proudly hold a US Design Patent, proof of my creativity & entrepreneurship skills. I am also very proficient in 3D drawings with SolidWorks and hold a Solidworks certificate. My skill sets include:
• 3D Modeling Programs (Solidworks, Rhino, Alias, Key Shot Renderings)
• Rapid prototyping 3d printing of parts with Ultimaker 2 extended
• Product Development & Sustainable Technology
• Passion: Innovating, Creating, Building, Improving, Solving, Entrepreneurship
• Special Skills: Strong Visualization, Spatial Relations
