I am a graduate of the University of Derby in Interior Design. I successfully completed a three year course and was awarded the Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design ( Second class honours 1st Division 2.1) in June 2012.
I have always been interested in the process of making drawings and experimenting with colours and materials inside people’s homes. The art of planning the decoration of a building such as a house or office has always fascinated me. Taking an empty space and changing it into something that can be used for a different purpose or in a different way is actually what i really love to do.
During my studies, I took part in the creation and the decoration of a bar in the centre of the city as well as in the interior planning and designing of a major cosmetics company. While working on these projects I focused on the functionalism of the spaces mentioned because I believe that the most important thing about a building is not only what it looks like but also its use.
Also, another important issue for me is a philosophy of life centered on the small – scale. The progressive shrinking of city apartments has led me to search for interior designs that make the most of the area available. This is one of the reasons why I would like to continue my studies , to broaden my knowledge about this field.
In parallel with my studies I had the opportunity to do my internship in an Architect office in Athens for four months where I worked as an assistant. There I helped in many different projects in both interior and exterior design, specifically , I used 3D programs such as Rhaino and 2D program such as AutoCad.
