Erhun Batug Koprulu is a creative thinker who acts as a problem solver in a vast range of projects. He believes that in addition to creatively envisioning an aesthetic product, a crucial challenge is to realize and successfully implement human needs in the design process. That’s why he opted for training in Industrial Design rather than the fine arts, even though he has repeatedly proven himself in the latter field with awards in many exhibitions.
In his professional career of over 20 years, he contributed to multi-disciplinary projects around the world, involving diverse teams, materials, production processes, business strategies. His success of managing to keep the balance of “function and form” while implementing the requests and needs of the customer throughout these design processes earned him trust and respect.
Participating in projects for the yachting industry, luxury goods, and custom residential interiors, Batug appreciated the encouragement and support he received, to achieve excellence in the finishing of requested high end, luxury products. Thus, he increasingly focused his professional efforts to small sized enterprises and corporate organizations in the superyacht industry – such as RMK Marine http://www.rmkmarine.com.tr, a fine yacht and vessel shipyard, and the boutique toy company Bioserie http://bioserie.com, which creates plant-based play essentials to aid the cognitive development of toddlers. Batug had a major role in creating and managing numerous projects for these companies, under a variety of budgets, styles, time frames and requirements. The innovative nature and sound production of these projects generated numerous awards and patented novel products.
Currently he is running his own business by integrating all his experience of human-centered design approach, technology, research and business. He aims to provide a top-notch quality of life service to customer needs, with the support of skilled teams and ateliers. Batug’s customers have frequently praised his ability to realize and articulate their needs, and lead the project processes from sketches to production.
