I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in fine arts focusing on graphic design. I also earned a minor in business.
I was employed with a sign making company in Cumming, GA for 2 years, until the company closed it's doors. There, I learned the steps of creating custom sandblasted three-dimensional signage. I also was on a team that created hand carved signage.
From there, I joined Samuel K Designer Windows and started manufacturing window overlays that replicate stained and leaded glass patterns. As the technology I was working with advanced, I discovered ways to make the overlays look more realistic. By using creative colors and creating a beveling process, the overlay product looks amazingly close to stained glass. These processes I came up with are still implemented today.
Samuel K Designer Windows was unable to find a niche for the product and the license to manufacture the product was subsequently sold to North Georgia Replacement Windows. I, gratefully, came along with purchase of those rights to manufacture. I was given the creative freedom to come up with the logo, business cards, and letterhead for the new company called Decor Windows.
Working with Decor Windows/North Georgia Replacement Windows (NGRW) was a great experience. Starting in 2013, I have been very involved in the marketing plans for NGRW by creating a new brochure, designing business plans and pricing guides, as well marketing pieces that will be used in local magazines.
In February of 2014, I joined the team at Heritage Charity, Auctions & Awards. There I will be in charge of graphic design duties as well as maintaining relationships with clients in the PGA tour industry.
