We have the rare opportunity as designers to shape the visual and physical world around us. We mold objects as well as experiences. It is these experiences that shape our reality and drive our future. I want every product I design to improve the lives of others and allow them to embrace the unique experience it provides. The material world we surround ourselves with may not necessarily define who we are as a person but it absolutely provides a window into our passion and interests. Put simply, our choices we make are a reflection of our ideals and how we wish the world to perceive us. One quote that has always resonated with me is that of Emmert Wolf: "A man is only as good as his tools." This mantra is something that spans across multiple industries: The importance of a quality product or service that elevates performance and/or enjoyment. My passion is what allows me to evolve and grow my craft. To me, design is everything. Everyone is a designer in their own rite. Within my profession my true passion lies in making a proactive social and environmental change in the world. I seek to make a difference from individual contributions to potential global innovation based on my skills and knowledge. I aim to find ways to better improve and innovate design and manufacturing processes in a way that makes products more available on a local scale in hopes that they enrich the socioeconomic ideals of a greater audience. Graphic Design and Product Development in the furniture industry have been worthwhile learning experiences in this journey. The potential to better serve the consumer industry in a sustainable and innovating manner is something I aspire for the future. My strongest character traits are adaptability, dedication and optimism. I work extremely well in team environments and I'm always open to new and fresh ideas. Communicating with other people is how every great idea begins, and you always hope the results speak for themselves.
