I have seen projects through to production using an iterative design process where my work has encompassed;
- CAD design of several production parts
- Design for manufacture & manufacturing drawings of production parts

- Investigative testing and problem solving performance issues
- Use of PLM software for the set up and archiving of project and test data

Engineering Intern
The Black River Company
2010 - 2010
A ten week placement for work experience during the summer before my final year at university. This was a placement I sought out and organised for myself, and was a massively rewarding experience.
While at Black River, an engineering consultancy based in Shanghai, I worked mainly in the office on CAD projects for the client companies. This work included the creation of manufacturing drawings and giving design feedback on concept parts as well as reverse engineering of production parts into CAD models. I also regularly visited Black Rivers own injection moulding facilities, located near the office, there I got first hand exposure to the production of plastic parts and quality control procedures.
