I have a BFA in Interior Design from The University of Kansas, School of Architecture, Design, and Planning.
My qualifications include experience with Interior Design, Exhibit/Event Planning, Visual Merchandising, Fashion, Cosmetics, Marketing, Social Media, Sales, Retail, Hospitality, Writing/Blogging, Art, and Web Design. I am very competent with technology and can also sketch and draw. I am proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Design Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and 3DS Max. I also have skills in building selection and evaluation, space programming and planning, conceptual design, perspective renderings, material selection, interior construction, blocking and stacking plans, specifications, building codes, FF&E, sustainability, branding, graphics, and presentation.
Curiosity and graduating in a poor economy in 2010 expanded my interests to include many areas of design and has led to the development of a diverse skill set. Evolution is a personal and professional goal of mine, while inspiration comes from people, nature, and the world around me. I value ethical design that delivers quality through analysis, research, experience, and strategy, and believe that intelligent design reasons with people, context, time, function, form, aesthetics, and budget.
