* Conceptual design of all major flagships and key brand builder boutiques as well as design direction for events throughout the world
* Engineering the furniture line and architectural solutions to work within pricing strategies, from conception, development, to delivery
* Delegation of responsibilities and expectations to other designers (Technical drawing, 3D, graphic design, event design)
* Bringing constant innovation to the brand through awareness of commercial market needs

Dillon Garris is a multidisciplinary designer based in Paris, working on exciting projects throughout the world. He has designed homes, hotels, boutiques, yachts, restaurants, fragrance bottles, skin care lines, furniture, you name it. Before opening his own design studio in 2001, he spent several years working for a number of French designers including Christian Liaigre, Aberto Pinto, Christophe Pillet, and Kristian Gavoille who taught him the fundamental principals of his craft.

Tecnomar Ship builders and Dillon Garris announced the launch of the new "Velvet 30", on December 13th, 2009 in the port of Viareggio, Italy.
The ship's exterior, revisited by renowned designer Dillon Garris is definitely the most progressive and modern of Tecnomar's fleet. The pure white superstructure hovers above the sable hull highlighted with one red racingstripe."Our clients wanted a ship that they could enjoy with the family on weekends & short holidays." explains the designer. "We worked in depth on every aspect of the project including space planning, layout, artist commissioning, and custom furnishings for Isle in close collaboration with our client's desires. The main concept was to bring more space and light into the ship while putting the architecture and artwork on display. This was achieved by widening the windows, sculptured indents highlight the aquatic form of the vessel. The addition of the circular skylight over the interior dining area, and further interior skylights over the galley offering an incredible natural luminosity to the main deck and general interiors. Serenity was the key
inspiration to creating a true escape for the families intense lifestyle in the city."
