Fashion and Commercial Photographer

Dhrumil is an award winning fashion and commercial photographer in the Los Angeles/Orange County/San Diego area who focuses on creating sophisticated, stylish, and elegant photos. He offers images with a character to his editorial, fashion, beauty, and advertising clients that help sell the products. The goal is for the people to fall in love with these characters being portrayed by sharing Dhrumil’s vision and passion through his photography. The images highlight the fashion but also develop a relationship between the viewer and the photo by having a strong character presence in the photographs. Recent personal projects include creating a series of photographs taken from the window seat of an airplane, which has won him an award in the Fine Arts category in the 2nd National Photo Awards held by the Government of India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. I am responsible to get sponsors for SCTC's events, mainly the Winter Game Fest, which has over 1500 participants every year and $5000+ funding of prizes from the sponsors.

I got to shadow Dr. Mell, who is a radiation oncologist at UCSD's Moore Cancer Center in La Jolla, CA. While shadowing him, I learned a lot about practicing medicine in a hospital, being a leader and a doctor, doing clinical research while practicing medicine, and communication with patients, to name a few.

I am part of the Ambassadors group, which represents Sixth College to other colleges at UCSD. For the year 2008, I was primarily responsible for organizing a student org faire for the incoming freshmen class that composed of 40 UCSD student organizations and more than 400 participants. The student org faire was part of the welcome week events for the class of 2012. Sixth College Student Org Faire has continued to maintain this tradition since then.

I was the TA at Chinmaya Mission Mithila's, a religious center located in Tustin, California, Sunday school. I used to teach Mahabharata, an Indian epic, to 30 students from 4th and 5th grade. My job duties included to assist the teacher in teaching the class, help out with various class activities, check homework, be a good role model, develop a teaching plan, check attendance, lead the prayers and meditation, and provide inspiration and motivation to my students.

I used to TA the College Prep Chemistry class of 25 high school 11th and 12th grade students. I used to assist the teacher with grading homework and tests of 50 students, facilitate chemistry laboratory, answer students' questions, make test questions, and being an inspiration for students.
