David Hotard

I'm an Industrial Design student at Georgia Tech who loves generating new ideas and drawing inspiration from anything and everything. I look at design as my opportunity to give to others through the unique set of skills and experiences that I bring to the table.

In addition to my career aspirations, I enjoy an active lifestyle with my friends and family. I swam for Georgia Tech, and have now ventured into triathlons and road races. My fiance and I love to workout, play with our Weimaraner, cook, and eat! I also take pleasure in a good book, taking pictures, watching sports, and of course a few side projects.

I grew up tinkering with Legos and drooling over cars so I naturally pursued Mechanical Engineering before finding a passion for Industrial Design. This left me with two years of valuable Mechanical Engineering education. In addition, I have picked up a Certificate in Marketing. I'm excited about the combination this gives me and enjoy working in cross-disciplinary teams. Some notable courses I have taken include: Engineering Graphics and Visualization, Creative Decisions and Design, Interactive Products, Design Methods, Strategic Brand Management, and Digital Marketing.
