I have over seventeen years of experience in art direction, creative direction, exhibit design, and product design. Since 2006, I have worked in the design industry. During that time, I've had the opportunity to design many different products: backpacks for hunting and fishing, pet products, travel bags and cases for board games, museum exhibits and experiences, and more. In most of the design projects, I have taken ideas from concept through production to distribution. I have worked with manufacturing companies in the United States, China, and Vietnam. Also, in 2016 I launched a board game product on Kickstarter that remains in the top five percent for funds raised and from 2015 to 2018 I designed and art directed the exhibits and experiences for the new Butterfly Biosphere at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, UT. In addition to those accomplishments, I have over thirteen years of experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. My design skills include design thinking, sketching, rendering, 3D modeling, and fabricating physical prototypes of products out of sheetmetal, wood, plastic, and high-density foam. Recently, I started leading and facilitating workshops for a book I published about the design process titled: Bringstorm. In 2021, I also received a certificate in UX design.
