Sonny Lim is an industrial designer with 15 years of experience working with some of the biggest brands in the world on numerous strategic design projects. The companies he worked for include Adidas, BMW, Mini, Rolls-Royce, Sony-Ericsson, HP, Philips, Sennheiser and NeilPryde Bikes.

As Senior Lead Designer & Design Manager at Dell, Lim draws upon a deep knowledge of expertise to formulate innovative strategic design approaches and to create meaningful innovations. Lim has been featured in publications such as Wallpaper*, Monocle, Axis, Dwell, FORM, Road & Track and the Business Times.

His designs have been internationally recognised by multiple awards: Singapore President’s Design Award, Good Design Award - Chicago Athenaeum, Design for Asia Gold Award, iF Design and Red Dot Awards.

1995 - Honorable mention IBM Leonardo da Vinci-Award

1996 - SONY Interface Design Award. As part of Team 41 with: Sven Peeze Binkhorst & Stijn Grove.

1997 - Honeywell Futurist Competition ’97. Vision on technological and social development in the next 25 years in the form of a written essay.

1998 - Laudatio ’98 Award – Leolux easy chair, prototype exhibited on the International furniture fair Interieur ’98 in Kortrijk (Belgium).

1999 - Honorable mention New Designers Award 1999 - Breadbin designcompetition
