Involved with this product from concept to execution, I created the signature design patterns for the entire LOVE365 Gift Mug Collections. With LOVE365 symbolizing ‘showing affection and appreciation 365 days a year’, my goal was to create patterns that would “tell a story” and emphasize the luxurious feel of the fine bone china mugs.
In addition, to enhance the gifting appeal of the product, I created unique stories through artwork that could be matched to unique personalities or to convey specific feelings. A good example of this is the highly popular design pattern – Social Butterfly – in which case the pattern was designed to describe an affable and amiable person whose personality is nothing less than ‘the life of a party’.
The product line was successfully launched across gift shops and tea/coffee market segments.
