One of the things that I most value about in the world is the unlimited amount of information to learn. Every experience is a learning experience. Every book is a glimpse into a new world. Every person is an encyclopedia on their own. Everyone and everything has a story to tell.
As I progress through life I have begun to appreciate the opportunities that gives us more and more. Growing up my family taught me to truly appreciate what we had and to appreciate the small things. The smallest gesture might not mean much to you but to somebody else it might mean the more than you know.
The experiences that have helped shape who I am are also present in my work. I crave learning and because of this I strongly focus on research and understanding. I am empathetic and with this I feel for the user and want them to have a genuinely pleasant experience. My appreciation for the small things reflects in my attention to detail.
I originally attended Armstrong Atlantic State University with a focus on mathematics and engineering before transferring to the Georgia Institute of Technology for math and Industrial Design. I finally arrived at the Savannah College of Art and Design where I graduated cum laude with a degree in Industrial Design and a minor in Service Design. From my time growing up until my arrival at SCAD I have always focused on the analytical side of the coin, but with an introduction to SCAD I was able to more fully appreciate and understand the design side.
It is with this combination that I focus my design philosophy: the connectedness between user and idea. Users desire a pleasing experience that makes them want to continue using a product or service. Creating this experience requires an understanding of the user. Through designing user-centered products in Industrial Design and utilizing research intensive and analytical tools for understanding users and services in Service Design, I have acquired the skills in creating not only products or services, but also the experiences that go with them.
I hope that you enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoyed creating it. If you would like to leave any feedback feel free to contact me.
Thank you and never stop creating,
