Hedweld Engineering specialise in the design and manufacture of innovative component handling machines and access systems for OEM Mining vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and develop concepts for new products to suit OEM client specifications
• Project manage the development of ideas into concepts through to final manufacture
• Create design specification documentation and carry out upfront project planning tasks
• Carry out mechanical calculations to assess design concepts
• Implement DFMEA principles to improve manufacturability and reduce build costs
• Use Australian Standards to ensure compliance and safety considerations are met
• Create detailed 3D models and detail drawings for fabrication and final assembly
• Create 3D renders and instructional drawings to support marketing and sales documentation
Key Achievements:
• Researched and developed Hedweld’s first successful electric ladder the “Safe-Away EL-KT Ladder” which has been so successful it is being factory fitted on all Komatsu HD605 trucks sold worldwide
• Successfully identified and implemented DFMEA changes to a range of products
• Created Hedweld's custom Materials and Content Center Libraries
• Helped secure the purchase and implementation of Autodesk Vault Professional

ResMed is a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment for treating, diagnosing and managing sleep-disordered breathing and other respiratory disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and develop concepts for medical devices, components, artworks and decals
• Developed prototypes using blue-foam, z-print and Objet facilities to assist in verifying concepts
• Create, edit and release product specifications, change notes and project documentation
• Assist in the initial concept development and specification of information and navigational architecture for the user interface on Patient Interface devices
• Create MS PowerPoint simulations to iterate ideas and validate concepts with users
• Create resources and translation strings in MS Excel for software engineers to create fast high quality prototypes for complete usability testing
Key Achievements:
• Supported by ResMed during my final year of university studies in 07/08 to develop the concept for the eVent Motorcycle Paramedic Ventilator which was placed 5th in the Australian International Design Awards for the Student Dyson Award (2008)
• Aspects of the eVent Motorcycle Paramedic Ventilator have since been patented by ResMed

Trawax specialises in the manufacture and distribution of innovative endoscopic medical devices, particularly in the area of patient oxygenation during endoscopic procedures.
Key Achievements:
• Researched and developed a concept for a novel breathing and monitoring endoscopic medical device which was subsequently taken to production phase
• Managed the development and production of a fully functioning prototype to meet patient testing and medical FDA and TGA standards
• Used Solidworks and Adobe CS3 to create drawings and communicate technical information to various key stakeholders

Key Achievements:
• Consulted on factory process design, layout and optimisation of equipment for mass manufacture
• Assisted in the research and development of the mass manufacture of an organic Thai Red Curry which became a number one seller when released in 2009
