“If you are looking for a strong product/industrial designer I want to recommend Darshan Veershetty. He worked as a design intern for me at Invento for 2 summers and a recent graduate as a ‘Master of Industrial Design’ from North Carolina State University. The team has fond memories of him working with us. He is an incredibly talented artist and helped us prototype new versions of our Mitra robot. He has an incredible eye for design and helped a lot of the product design for me.”
– Balaji Viswanathan, CEO & Founder of Invento Robotics
“One of the brilliant folks I worked with, who can translate an idea into a thought out, scalable product with a futuristic design.”
– Kaundinya Panyam, Vice President of Sales at Invento Robotics
Hi, Darshan here. I’m an industrial designer residing in the US.
When you work with me, we both have the same goal: Make meaningful and desirable products that sell.
Here’s my expertise:
Conceptual Ideation – Sketching
CAD modeling
3D Digital Rendering
Design for Manufacturing
Who I’ve studied: Dieter Rams, Jony Ive, Tony Fadell, Akio Morita, Richard Sapper, Sam Farber, Syd Mead, Ralph McQuarrie, Doug Chiang, Marcello Gandini, Charles and Ray Eames and many more.
I take everything I have learned, plus deep research into your business, your market, your users, and combine it to create designs that will help make you sell products that people desire, reach you for your brand and values. Throughout this process, I’ll work with you at each step so that we can bring your ideas to life, and to the market.
Some of my proud achievements:
• I recently designed an autonomous robot called ‘Astra-C’ for Invento Robotics. It is currently being used to fight the Covid-19 pandemic by disinfection of walkways and corridors within buildings using UV-C light, apart from having the capability to carry a telemedicinal payload for use in hospitals. This robot is currently being used in various hospitals and establishments across India. It has been featured across multiple local and national news outlets.
• Designed a smart shopping cart called ‘Spody’ for Invento Robotics. This is an autonomous robot that is meant to be used as a way to guide users within high-end grocery stores with the point-of-sale abilities within the cart itself, including weighing items, amongst a host of other features.
• Designed and prototyped multiple versions of the Mitra humanoid robot for Invento Robotics. This product has been used across various use cases for clients of Invento Robotics and featured in renowned news media and papers. I am proud to have been with the team to present it during CES-2019 at Las Vegas.
• I have also worked on designing digital products, one of worthy mention being my final year academic project, in collaboration with the grocery retail multinational conglomerate, Ahold Delhaize. I designed an app for helping users and grocery brands in tracking and reducing food waste. This was very well received by the Director of Innovation at Ahold Delhaize and the Sustainability Head of Food Lion (a subsidiary grocery retail chain of Ahold Delhaize).
**One Warning** - If you’re looking for cheap, and average work, without diligence of knowing who your users are... I can’t help you.
I work with the type of business owner who cares about their users, their values, and quality, because you know getting top-notch designs will attract more customers and revenue. If that sounds like you, and you want to be confident that you’re squeezing every dollar out of the effort you’ve put into your business and ideas, I’m the right guy to reach out to and hire.
