I am a Transportation Design graduate from Art Center College of Design currently employed at the Seattle-based company Taphandles. We continue to be a growing, successful company and I have the privilege to work with great people day in and day out.
My undergraduate experience consisted of mainly an automotive focus with several marine design courses taken, finished with a footwear design internship. All those disciplines along with my years at Taphandles have kept my eyes open to the wealth of possible paths an industrial designer can take in their career.
Seattle offers many things in addition to it's beautiful Olympic Mountain sunsets. Two among them are the inspiration that is all forms of bicycling and the constant presence of marine craft. The bicycle culture here has firmly taken hold not only in the form of my multiple apartment unit builds and daily commuting but also in the resulting inspiration and pen-to-paper designs. And whether it be the attendance of twice annual boat shows or watching boats over the water from bridges over Lake Washington, I know there is much more to explore in the marine transportation realm. My humble aim is to enter into one of these industries next.
I believe design is creation, and I enjoy the opportunity to do that. I am looking to help make better working, better functioning, and better looking products not only for the benefit of use and longevity, but also for the benefit of enjoyment.
