All pieces are hand embroidered, embellished, patched, repaired locally with a distinct Free People signature exclusive to the label.
Senior Designer of Intimates category for Free People retail, across all categories including foundations, lounge, slips and camisoles. Designing from my home office, I traveled to Philadelphia once a month for meetings and presentations.
Senior Designer of Capsule Collection “FP X”, a Free People exclusive label. One of nine exclusive, in-house labels. Vintage-inspired silhouettes meet heirloom embellishments. This role was a role specifically created for me by Free People so I could contribute key silhouettes while designing from a unique West Coast perspective. Responsible for designing six to eight exclusive designs per monthly delivery, I traveled to the Philadelphia office regularly to present in meetings, set up styles, work with Buying Teams, fit styles with Technical Designers. I also traveled three to four times per year internationally for sample development in accordance with our calendar, and planned and executed domestic and international inspiration trips four to six times per year. Responsible for managing two rotating creative design teams by delivery, and contributing to the collection each season of all fashion, basic, layering and heavyweight knit categories. I worked with our buyers, technical designers and sales team to develop new product based on successful sales history and our unique, seasonal trends. This included travel overseas to shop for trend and silhouette inspiration, and travel to overseas vendors to work on product development. I oversaw my team's product from conception to production including initial fabric, print artwork and trim development, garment construction and fit, daily communication with vendors, and production approvals.
