Corey Wright, an illustrator/ visual artist born in Middletown, Connecticut, has been refining his craft for over fifteen years. As a child, he was inspired heavily by the story telling format of comic books, and was introduced to art by creating stories using his favorite super heroes and cartoon characters.
Corey’s commissioned work includes freelance storyboard work, freelance comic book work, character design and merchandise design. Corey has received awards both nationally and internationally for his work. His work has been displayed at such institutions as the prestigious Lyme Art Association (located on the Florence Griswold grounds in Connecticut).
His published work has been in Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Youtube. He has also illustrated work for an Amazon Best Seller Children's Book.
His work is heavily inspired by comic books because he believes that we are all born with God given gifts. These gifts are our superpowers, which would make us all superheroes. He wants to help others tell their superhero origin story, and hopes to use his art to inspire others to tap into their superpowers, and use them to change the world.
