Leading marketing strategies, building client relationships and developing the team in the pursuit of multiple Biotech projects

Founder of the US office. Marketed and won project in Africa, created a proposal for the Southern Gateway for the City of Richmond which included 100 bed hotel, restaurant and winery/brewery, currently being incorporated into the South Shore EIR; Developed the master plan and designed several residential projects including town center, condominiums, townhouses and single family housing for the Dahling Lake Resort in Hainan Island, China.

Performed a leadership role in building a significant San Francisco presence from a satellite office. Led the design and planning teams in the successful pursuit, design and delivery of high profile local, national and international projects. Led multiple projects at UCSF, Kaiser, Intermountain Health and Koo Foundation Cancer hospital in Taiwan. The San Francisco office more than doubled its size during my time with the firm.

Design Director for all western region US offices. Managed all projects by leading the design teams in the US and Pacific Rim. Projects include Oakland Children’s Hospital and Research Center, VA Alameda Point Outpatient Clinic and the Chinese Traditional Medicine Hospital in Dongzhimen, China, all under construction. Other projects include design and planning for the Beijing International Medicinal Center, a 4 square kilometer medical/research campus & community, also under construction.

Led the clinical planning and interior design teams for the New Stanford Hospital, a 365-bed, 800,000 SF replacement facility in Palo Alto, under construction, developed winning proposal for the Stanford Medical Center Campus renewal project with LBL Architects.

Designed and planned over 6,000,000 SF of built health and science facilities, from inpatient hospitals, ambulatory care and translational research to campus master plans. Projects include Princeton Medical Center, Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown in Lisbon Portugal, a 500,000 SF, clinical and research facility.

Responsible for the urban design, coordination, design and management of major downtown projects including the San Jose Civic Center, BART to San Jose Feasibility Study and the Greater Downtown Strategy plan. Other projects include managing architecture consultants, contractors and developers on a wide range of complex transit oriented development projects.

Led the design for the Dorothy E, Schneider Cancer Center at Mills-Peninsula Hospital and numerous other projects.
