Imperfection- One of the many examples of the "imperfect windows" in the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis, IN. The builders of this cathedral believed that no matter how hard a human being worked, they could never become totally perfect. That level was reserved for the Christian God alone, though people were encouraged to take perfectionism as a journey and mentod of self-improvement, not an end goal.
To reflect this, each of the windows was given one or two pieces of red, yellow, or blue glass to flaw the otherwise perfectly geometric pattern of the windows
