ItSprays Sprayer Nozzle
The charge for this project was to design a consumer level hand-held waterhose sprayer by utilizing basic design concepts studied in class. These included balance, continuance, focal point, hierarchy, mediation and rhythm.
The research phase preceded the ideation phase, upon which I graduated then to SolidWorks 3D rendering and tangible prototyping. But, I particularly enjoyed the hand-rendering and prototyping phases.
I first hand-shaped the wood for the sprayer and eventually integrated a real sprayer head as well as a hose and hose male-receiving fastener.
With layered and sanded coats of paint beneath the final clear-coat, the end product appeared just like a molded plastic body!
