CITRUS ELECTRIFICATION is a designer and builder of electric guitars, speaker cabinets and accessories. Each instrument is proudly designed and built in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. New and old technologies are used in harmony along with select materials in the pursuit of building great tools for musicians.
I design and build electric instruments, speaker cabinets and accessories based on lean manufacturing principles. Solid modeling duties are split between Rhino 3D and Fusion 360. Most instruments are unique to the artist, this requires an easily adaptable construction process. Knowledge in rapid prototyping and the flexibility of CAD and CAM software teamed with our specially designed CNC machine allows an efficient manufacturing process and quick turn around. The basic principle is to create tools with tone and clarity that are superior to the competition.

Industrial Designer / Design Engineer / Co-Owner
hello Snowboard Co.
Pittsburgh, PA
Nov 2011 - Nov 2016 (5 years)
Designing and manufacturing the next generation of snow sport equipment using lean manufacturing techniques and environmentally responsible materials.
Snowboard design was focused on overall performance and environmental sustainability. All mountain performance was the primary design focus. One board that does everything well, hardpack, groomer, powder and is easy to ride. Low weight, forgiveness and predictable handling were achieved. The materials used in the boards were chosen for their performance as well as their low environmental impact.
Along with the board design, the entire manufacturing process had to be created. From raw materials to finished product, every aspect was designed to work in harmony with the last. The press structure, control unit, bladder system and finishing equipment, along with a CNC router, were all designed in house. This production process is modular and scalable to fit capacity needs.
All of the design from snowboards to the equipment was designed using Rhino 3D.
