- I started off working as the sole structural designer at Blueprint, managing my own projects and workloads, creating sketches, visuals, technical CAD templates and working prototypes, offering advice to both creative and graphic designers, whilst maintaining great relationships with our suppliers. In October 2015 I then took on a design intern which I trained up and managed for a year and then I did the same with a new intern.
- I have not only worked on packaging and POS design, but I was also involved in Epson colour management and proofing. Additionally, I designed the layout of our office in Staines, including the internal wall & door locations and a wall mural.

Structural Designer & Visualiser

-Working in a small team of cardboard engineers, mainly designing FMCG POS displays. I often designed complete units, from start to finish. This involved concept development, via hand sketching & CAD plans, 3D visuals, the full structural design with completed technical drawings, cardboard mock ups, assembly guides and artwork creation.
I regularly designed units which held a lot of weight, which improved my material and tolerance knowledge greatly.
The software systems I frequently use in this role are Kasemake, the Adobe Creative Suite & Strata 3D.

- Being the sole packaging and POS designer, where I managed my own workloads and took full responsibility for all designs within my department. Not only did I produce cutter guides, visuals, mock ups and technical drawings, but I also produced assembly instruction sheets and formed strong relationships with all the areas of Carte Blanche and with our suppliers. I often got involved in creating product design visuals, like my POS visuals, which were used for client presentations and pitches. These were very effective in gaining sales for Carte Blanche. I achieved a great knowledge of materials and I tried to keep my designs as environmentally friendly as possible.
The main Programmes I used for this role were Artios, 3ds Max, and the Adobe Creative Suite. In Artios I also created/programmed standard templates to increase efficiency when producing cutters of a style I use to regularly use for several products.
Brands I have worked on include: Me to You and their sub brands, Violent and Vivacious Veg, Disney, Simon's Cat, Clintons Own and WWF, for stores such as Clinton Cards, Hamleys, M&S, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's,Halfords and Next.

All of these roles required direct, frequent communication with clients, working for brands like Revlon, Sony, Wonderbra, ITL, P&G, Mars, etc, to ensure I knew what they wanted and also to propose new ideas to them.
