Master of Arts (MA) in design, 2 years, 120 ECTS credits.
Main fields of study;
Design. The programme includes courses in design projects, design theory and design tools.
The programme combines the practise oriented approach to design - where understanding of materials, experimenting design skills and concepts are in focus - with the theoretical aspects of design. Students acquire advanced knowledge and insights in the methods of design and graduates can make design solutions at a very high level. The programme concludes with a thesis project of 30 ECTS credits.
Professional status;
Graduates from The school of design qualify for employment in all parts of the design world - both nationally and internationally.

Founded in 1875, The school of Designs is the oldest and largest institution specialised in design education and design research in Denmark.
The school has 600 students and 100 members of staff.

Knowledge and understanding;
For a Bachelor of Arts/Science the student have demonstrated knowledge and understandning in the main field of study, including knowledge of the disciplinary foundation of the field, understanding of applicable methodologies in the field, specialised study in some aspect of the field as well as awareness of current research issues.
Competence and skills;
- Demonstrated the ability to search for, gather, evaluate, and critically interpret the relevant information for a formulated problem and also discuss phenomena, issues and situations critically.
- Domenstrated the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems autonomously and to complete tasks within predetermined time frames.
- Demonstrated the ability to present and discuss information, problems and solutions in speech, and writing and in dialogue with different audiences.
A requirement for the award of a Bachelor of Arts/Science is completion by the student of an independent project (degree project) for at least 15 credits in the main field of study.
