the tomb is a cage over the simple granite sarcophagus of the former President
people in the Richmond VA area refer to the tomb as "The Bird Cage"

I was told by my Great Nana that my Great Great Great Great Grandfather was President James Monroe. After a little research I found out that James Monroe and his wife are buried in the Hollywood Cemetery located in Richmond Virginia.
