I am multi-skilled professional with a full range of design and creative based skills that encompasses web, print, illustration, & animation. I am an expert in the Adobe suite of programs including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, as well as being proficient in Flash, Dreamweaver, Final Cut, Quark, Corel Draw, and Microsoft Office. I also use tactile skills with a variety of mediums and had my work shown in a variety of exhibitions and showcases across
the country. I am a constant learner and am always trying to find the most efficient method of performing my job, as well as learning new skills on a consistent basis.
In my history, I attended the Cleveland Institute of Art and completed their five year program with a BFA in Illustration, as well as being heavily involved in the Graphic Design environment which was incorparated into my studies. During that time I worked closely with the local art and design environment in Cleveland, freelancing and working for a local design and print company after graduation. In order to continue growing as a designer and artist I moved to Chicago to work for the satirical newspaper The Onion.
Since 2009 I have enjoyed being part of The Onion’s world renowned talent and influence. My duties there have included web and print design, graphics editing and heavy photo manipulation, product design, ad design, animation, illustration, storyboarding, layout management, photography and production. While I have held a staff position, currently I am an independent contractor working on a wide variety of projects for them.
My work history with clients is extensive, as I’ve been involved in projects with local businesses and large firms and companies, such as Starbucks, Comedy Central, IFC, 7-11, AMC, Budweiser, BMW, HBO, Killian’s, LG, TNT, Stride gum, and Scion to name a few. Large or small, I devote the same energy and attention to detail to all my creative endeavors. If you would like to work with me you’ll get a strong, focused designer who is used to performing under tight deadlines and high pressure. I hope to become a valuable asset to your company.
