Lead the lifecycle of assigned product development with a strong emphasis on 3D modeling and prototype refinement. Used SolidWorks & AutoCAD for design and Excel for data management.
Correlated design goals with production ability and processes such as forging, welding, casting, spinning, turning, machining, glass blowing and slumping to create unique parts.
Designed for cost efficient manufacturing and ease of assembly while maintaining original design integrity and intent.
Performed 1st article inspection and had sign-off responsibilities. Used calipers, gauges and scales to evaluate quality. Created quality reports for each article inspected, contacted vendors if parts were out of specification to explain variances and arrange for correct replacements.
Personally built prototypes and worked hand in hand with manufacturing during the entire life cycle of the product.
