Design - man made or natural, attracts my attention wherever I go. I'm facinated by the design of a tree, same way as I am by that of a bike, the ruins of old churches in Goa, or old forts.
Having grown up in different parts of the country, I have experienced the sights, sounds and tastes of varied cultures, from my hometown in Patna to a quaint little town in Goa.
These personal experiences and my education in some of the best institutes of India have played an important role in moulding my perception of art. My teachers and friends have added colour to my concept of design, and I believe I'm constantly on the path of learning.
When conveying a message the visual media provides scope to create an inquisitiveness or analytical questioning leading to an answer as varied as the audiences themselves. I like to explore this linkage between words, ideas and the visual medium. Images also convey a message in the shortest, most clear way possible, while also leaving a lasting impression and creating better recall.
I am very keen to harness the potential of the visual medium for communicating development issues and also to evolve as a social critic. I like using graphic design to show my take on society, while also giving meaningful context to my work. Another issue I am keen to understand is the impact of the digital medium on the current social development issues.
