Manage the look, communication and feel of most Kalamazoo Public Library's (KPL) promotional deliverables such as: programming fliers, handbills, display and way-finding signage, posters, bookmarks, postcards, table tents, templates, brochures, web design, icon and logo design for public and intranet use, booklets, advertisements, stickers, and much more. KPL has 5 locations, each with their own communities with Central Library as a hub. KPL's graphic specialist implements style choices and inclusive imagery based on community input and demographic research.

I am highly skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and have a general understanding of Dreamweaver, After Effects and Lightroom). I have a working knowledge of Wordpress and html. I also produce work traditionally (illustration, painting, hand made signs, etc.).

Designing is a passion. I am well-versed in pre-press commercial print production. Along with my work at Brakeman Design, I have been fortunate to work with many amazing clients over the years: Crow's Nest Restaurant, Fourth Coast Café, Stephen Lynch, Earthen Ales, Tigerlilly Therapy, Comedy Minus One Records, Red Sea Pedestrians, Red Dragon Press, Copper Press, Hear Here, Read and Write Kalamazoo, Caffé Casa, Medieval Institute Publications, New Issues Press, Kraftbrau Brewery, Club Soda, 1977 Mopeds, The Comet Café, The Rocket Star Café, and others).

I screen print as a hobby and occasionally sell that skill to clients.

Create assets for Kellogg’s Family Rewards® CRM program. Produce email sends directly promoting brands: Corn Flakes®, Cheez-Its®, MorningStar Farms®, Nutri Grain®, Pop Tarts®, Rice Krispies®, Special K®, Townhouse®, and many more of Kellogg’s® top snack foods and cereal brands. Employ the use of Adobe Creative Suite programs for digital production work, animation and layout.
