Scenic, Concept, and Space Designer
Recently designed scenery and projections for Josefina López’s Hungry Woman for CASA 0101 Theater in Los Angeles, CA. In 2004, he designed Blasting Holes Into the Night by Anthony Valadez which premiered in Shanghai, China. Other professional work includes Prodigal Daughter and Jasmine at the LA Korean Consulate, Survivor by Susan Nanus at the Electric Theater in Venice, and the Persian Festival at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In Paris, France, he worked at the national Theater Amandiers.
He holds an MFA from UCLA and has either taught, directed and/or designed at the Claremont Colleges, CSU, Northridge, West Hills College, LA Trade Technical College, FIDM, South Coast Repertory, LA Southwest College, LA Valley College, UCLA and USC. The Liquidtex Corporation made a museum purchase of Frida in the Box, one of his sculptures.
He has exhibited at LAX, Bonhams and Butterfield in Hollywood, Plaza de la Raza, Advocate Gallery at the Gay and Lesbian Center in Hollywood, and Penn State.
