I am an Industrial Designer with two years experience. I completed a Bachelor of Industrial Design with Honours at Monash University. Since finishing my degree I have worked across many different areas of design with both freelance and full time employment within the design Industrial.
Throughout my time at Monash I was able to learn and develop many Industrial Design related skills, by undertaking a broad range of units. The main emphasis was placed upon our workshop capabilities, CAD skills, materials and manufacturing knowledge as well as our sketching and rendering techniques. During my years at Monash I maintained a distinction average that ensured my selection for the multidisciplinary design program at the Monash campus in Prato Italy. As well as traveling overseas with Monash I also participated in numerous design competitions. These along with other projects have inspired and driven my passion for design.
Since completing my degree I have worked closely freelancing for RoveingWork as the sole designer. Focusing on designing a range of new innovative laptop bags, luggage and softgoods for the businessperson on the move. “The Nomad Bag” is our keystone design and can now be found in ANZ’s new contact centres.
I have been working at Rola Roof Racks as the Roof Rack product and fitment designer for over a year now. I work closely with all facades of the company sitting amongst the engineering team and reporting to the marketing department. During my time with Rola I have worked on a verity of different product and projects, ranging from Point of sale display unit, roof rack fitments and accessory designs. Recently I have been given the opportunity to project managing the roll out of new product to Super Cheap Auto stores. Key to my role as designer I must problem solve, think fast, prioritise, organise and communicate with the different parts of the business and externally.
