Carlos Ruiz

CARLOS ORLANDO RUIZ graduated from Ripon College, in Ripon Wisconsin, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Art and Theatre in 1998. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and used his benefits to receive an additional degree

and certification in Secondary Education.

During this time, Carlos taught in the Chicago Public School system for five years and served a 15-month tour in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004-06. After returning from his tour of duty, Carlos decided to follow his childhood dream and enroll himself into an architecture school. He is received a Master’s degree in both architecture, with an emphasis in interiors, and in art education.

During his many travels abroad, Carlos was fascinated by the culture of the countries and their potential for growth and prosperity. He is interested in the social justice issues and looks at how architecture can play a larger role in forming societies of the future. Due to the expected collaborations of various parties with a common goal, the processes and outcomes of his various projects continue his interests in public developments, old and new. While

growing as a designer, architect, and educator, CARLOS ORLANDO RUIZ, would be a great addition to set precedents for future success.
