Pet Tape Product and Brand Development
This pet-project began with an inventive idea for pet hair removal and evolved into complete product development: working with manufacturers to develop a complete product solution through research, testing and application, and followed through with the brand strategy. In the highly competitive pet market, the brand name needed stick out, while being simple and memorable. Pet Tape it was. The logo identity was inspired by the circular shape of the tape rolls and the flexibility of the product. The color palette is a clean cool blue, bright red and black for contrast (red and blue also emphasize an American made product). Our strategy was to make the web site the initial source to promote the product to both consumers and retail outlets. The site was designed as a visual infomercial, opening with a banner video/animation to show how quick and easy Pet Tape is to use, with additional visuals to highlight the effectiveness for dog and cat hair and cleaning up after smaller pets.
