Design and layout several publications ranging from newspapers, tourism guides, tax forms, brochures, promotional materials, military publications such as the Joint Base Journal, Andrews Gazette, and Tester. Each product had its own guideline to follow and requirements to keep our loyal customers but also attract a younger demographic. Every day was tasked with three to four different newspapers that had to be designed, each with a strict deadline. Once the publication was approved, preflighted each page and sent them off to the press for printing. On some occasions, work in pre-press sending and catching plates. After the issues were printed, the next step would be uploading and arching the issue digitally for our readers. Managed online articles, issues, creating classified advertisements, and designing new advertisements to run. Coordinated with sales department on the placement of advertisements following the customer and our sales representatives instructions.
