Originally from Twin Falls, Idaho, Bryce Black began his passion for fashion with international super star Barbie. As an emerging designer his budget for raw materials was not what it is today; Barbie’s couture gowns were often made out toilet paper to socks or anything he could get his hands on. Educated at The Art Institute of Portland, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Apparel Design. A month after graduation, Black found himself auditioning for Project Runway and became one of 20 contestants on season nine. On Project Runway, Black was able to design a collection for New York Fashion Week, which received national acclaim.
