Brian Kendall James

Smoke School of Art is an Atlanta based non-profit think tank that discusses contemporary philosophy and addresses issues within culture and modern art. Similar to an artist's website portfolio, this was an introduction various artist's physical portfolio. In similar fashion, the goal to do so was to present each artist and their work with a simple, yet inviting layout of text and image. Once the grid and overall formula was established, the changing images and subjects allowed the grid to accommodate each variety. Each page permitted a stage for the artist's words to interact with the works they were describing, echoing the mission of this artistic collective.
