Hard Pressed
Hard Pressed was the senior Bachelors in Fine Art exhibition held by the printmaking majors at Savannah College of Art and Design. The title was a nod to the offset printing process that is the primary practice of printmaking. The exhibition featured all forms of offset printing from mono-types, screen prints, intaglio, to installations and photolithography.
The typeface was sampled from physical woodblock letterforms that are used in Letterpress printing. The texture further emphasized the physicality of the printing process. Moving forward, the layout design of the showcard's back and window vinyl were to ensure maximum legibility while providing all of the necessary information for welcomed art appreciators. The vinyl became an art piece in and of itself, interacting with the setting sun over the of the day.
