I have worked in design since the early 90s, designing “‘zines” with paste-up, scissors, a photocopier and an Apple Performa, using Photoshop 1.0 on a monochrome screen. There were no rules and no college classes to take. I learned the print production tools of the day and began working in small local newspapers doing layout and basic design work. I transitioned to studio production in advertising agencies in the late 90s.
in 2001, I began working as a junior art director, and held a variety of freelance and full-time positions in the major advertising agencies of New York over the next 7 years. Around 2002-2003 online advertising was growing and I began transitioning away from print and tv to screen design, games, apps, online services and websites.
I moved to Vienna in 2008 and began working for local agencies. In 2012 I went freelance/entrepreneur, joined a design & development company in 2015 and now I'm looking for something new.
Today my focuses are corporate branding, event branding and information design. I have advanced knowledge of the Adobe suite and Sketch, moderate knowledge of video editing software and HTML/CSS, and basic knowledge of 3D. I can also interface with software developers and am comfortable with various project management workflows. I love working on product and logo design.
