My name is Bence Várnai, I graduated 2.0 years ago as an architect engineer. As a wandering-architect of the Kós Károly Union (www.vandoriskola.hu), for 3 years I was given the opportunity to gain experience in 6 different architect offices. I finished my last semester in December 2016. As a wandering-architect I am committed to gain more experience and knowledge to further expand my working experience.
I have worked in 6 different architect offices. According to my masters (Ferenc Salamin, Győző Esztány - https://www.facebook.com/esztanystudio?fref=ts), their architect team benefited a lot from my creativity and fast but precise work performance. To achieve this I relied on my advanced Archicad and middle-forward Autocad knowledge with the help of my drawing-talent and my advanced photography skills. I’m looking forward to gain mastery of new designer software, and to be adept in using programs I already know, but thoroughly and deeper. I am able to work alone, I like to be absorbed by the project I am working on, yet I get along well with others when it comes to teamwork. I did also benefit from teamwork when I was planning a tender.
In the past year I took part in several competition (Ybl Miklós Memorial House, Bence-out tower design contest, Budapest Box ideas competition, Őrbottyán Institution Development Center, Budafa Arboretum Reception Building, Budapest Infopont Ideas Competition)
Up to the present during my 3.0 years of professional activity, working with the former chief architect of Budapest, Ervin Nagy and his colleagues, we have achieved a great success. In honour of Imre Makovecz, who established organic architecture in Hungary (and also the founder of the Wandering School), Nagy organized a life-work exhibition dedicated to him.
The exhibition displayed one of Makovecz’s greatest, yet not realized work, the Church of Saint Michael, which we 3D-printed and built from macro cardboard at the scale of 1:25 by reviving the church with the help of a 3D model. For my work I was honoured by the ministerial certificate of merit. (http://www.mma-tv.hu/mma-tv/-/video/1694445/%E2%80%9E-osszekotni-az-eget-es-a-foldet-makovecz-imre-eletmu-kiallitasa) time to 1:16
I am committed to use the knowledge and capital to contribute to the prestige and recognition of architect tradition in Hungary.
