Integral part of product development teams establishing vision and providing design direction and implementation on projects from hand held remote controls to machine cowling to tractor cabin design to graphic and UX design of machine control screens. Currently the industrial design lead of new horizontal directional drills.

Providing industrial design and product development for various clients. Working directly with clients to produce design ideation from blue sky concept sketching and rendering to quick concept CAID modeling to A-class production surfaces in Alias.

Assumed this sales role in the interim while seeking full-time Industrial Design position. Responsible for client interface and project management from initial contact to design, production and installation. Work with outside civil engineers, architects, property owners/developers, general contractors and sub-contractors to design, sell, manufacture and deliver the optimal competitive solution for each individual site’s specific storm water detention needs.

Onsite design consultant through Kaleidoscope. Responsible for product design of the accessories for hand held computer/scanning devices (terminals). Collaborated with multi-disciplined development team to determine materials, construction, mechanics, shape, color, surface finish, manufacturing processes, and creating documentation using sketches, renderings, CAID surface data (both Alias and Pro/E), and rapid prototype models.

Responsible for leading product design and styling of inboard and sterndrive engines and drive systems. Collaborated with cross-functional product development team to determine materials, construction, mechanics, shape, color, surface finish, manufacturing processes, and created documentation using trend boards, sketches, renderings, 3-D models, CAID surface data and written reports.

Team member of small team responsible for vision, design and execution of outboard motors and controls. Designed and generated CAID (Alias) files for numerous components of several outboards, including exterior cowlings, air intakes, idle relief, steering cylinder, and trim cylinders.
