I'm an illustrator and printmaker, working in Nottingham, UK. Most of my illustration work is linocut, created in my spare room studio and printed using a spoon in place of a printing press. I use traditional techniques as much as possible, but some more colourful pieces may be printed by hand and pieced together digitally for the sake of speed. I take influence from the natural world, medieval illuminations and wood engravings and printmakers throughout history. Two days a week I teach illustration to Graphic Design & Illustration students at De Montfort University in Leicester. When not in my studio I can often be found on my allotment picking caterpillars off my cabbages, or on my mat in the yoga studio.
