Barbara began doing pottery in the mid 1970s in Connecticut and spent many years as a student at Lill Street Gallery. She has taught children’s ceramics class in an afterschool program in Chicago. Her ceramics work along with her paintings have been on display at the Chesterton Art Gallery (2001 and 2002). In 2004 and 2007 she did a one woman show at the Highland Park Senior Center. In 2015 she exhibited at the Penn Kingman Art Gallery in Mishawaka, IN and in 2016 at the Ellen Firme Gallery in Beverly Shores.
She continues her ceramic art at Fire Arts Studio in South Bend where she also teaches Tai Chi to some resident artists. She is influenced by her studies in Eastern philosophy and meditation and especially loves raku pottery.
