Whether designing furniture, lighting, textiles, soft goods or decorative accessories, like anything else in her life, she approaches design and product development with a sense of curiosity which has landed her working with brands such as DwellStudio, West Elm and Anthropologie.

Taking projects from concept through production from her Brooklyn, NY studio, August has an acute ability to create unique solutions for the challenge at hand. Because of her eye for detail, passionate approach and the positive impact of her work, her designs have been featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Dwell Magazine, House Beautiful and Better Homes & Gardens.

Besides being a globe-trotter between furniture factories, August also travels extensively for pleasure having recently visited Turkey, Sri Lanka and Peru. Although one might think she was born in the month of August, she was actually born in May.
