The most difficult part of the project was finding a "canopy" (the decorative plate that hides the electrical box) to have a big enough hole to have 5 cords to come out of it. The fifth lighting store I visited a kind old man searched the back of his store to find exactly what I needed :-) *I wanted all the hardware to match so I spray painted the ball jar lids and the canopies.
I had to use LED light bulbs (which were $10 each!!!!) because they give off very little heat. I didn't want to drill holes in the jar or pendant light for the heat to escape just to use regular or decorative light bulb.
I have to thank my husband because he helped me with shutting off the electricity and helping with the installation.

*April 2014: Ball Jar Light Fixture

I had antique blue ball jars that were used at my wedding (thanks to my mother in law Bernadette for finding them and buying them for me) and I wanted to make something out of them that my husband and I could treasure an keep forever. So I came up with the idea of turning them into light fixtures.
