Hi,
I have been into drawing all my natural life. When I was little, I used to draw a lot of cartoon-type drawings.
In 1996, when I was 11, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I spent 3 weeks in hospital before going home again. A week or two later was my 12th birthday. I was home-schooled for a while and when I first picked up a pen and tried to write, I could barely hold the pen! I eventually went back to school but it didn't last so long until I was back in hospital again, and again, and again. I was home schooled again for a while before dropping out of school completely. My education hasn't been that brilliant. By 2000, my health was not too bad and I managed to do a little college. Unfortunately by my second year, I had a road accident and later dropped out of college where I decided to stay at home. I had no intentions of getting a job and later found I was not fit for a job anyhow. I stayed at home for 6 years doing very little. Watching TV, playing video games, listening to moosic, oh and staring at walls :). The boring stuff.
I lost a heck of a lot of confidence and independence, I lost motivation, I stopped drawing for a few years. Then in 2007 I joined a charity called 'Headway' who support people with a brain injury and their family and/or carers. They have really helped me out and have given me confidence and independence again and my motivation has come back and I am now drawing again :).
I have joined other charities/disabled groups. A couple of them had closed down due to lack of funding from these vile creatures called 'The Government' and some of these groups were not really my bag. I am also a member of another charity called 'Dis-play' and they have really improved on my drawing :).
So, I hope you like what you see in my portfolio :).
Look up!
