Marcellie Runway Show 2012: Emerge!
The Synthetic Housewife:
It was inspired by the PS3 game 'L.A. Noire'. It is a detective game that requires you to solve homicides, arson and traffic cases and it took place during the 1940s. One of the line that truly hit me was, 'love and marriage will always be the motive or reason behind a homicide."
Scenario:
A dysfunctional marriage led to a brutal death of the husband. The wife attended the funeral with heart devoid of any feelings or emotions just like a plastic doll.
To put a modern twist the 1940's silhouettes, I incorporated PVC as to add a certain edge and modernity. The dark petals represents the withered husband.
